This particular season is one of the most important one for people working in the bicycle industry. The Interbike, the biggest bike fair in North America, takes place from the 16th to the 18th of August in Las Vegas. 1000 suppliers, representatives from 4000 bicycle retail stores, and more than 20,000 visitors are expected at Interbike.

She loves all the facets of bicycle culture and sometimes stares a few seconds too long towards a passing bicycle. When she's not behind the desk, you find her on stage as a circus artist.

Interbike – a Bike Fair with Sustainable Character

Interbike was founded in the 1980s. Since then, the fair has become one of the largest supporters of the bike industry. In collaboration with the organisation PeopleForBikes, Interbike aims to motivate more people to ride their bikes. The bike fair wants to achieve this with several projects. One of these projects, for example, is the “Green Lane Project”, which is conducted by PeopleForBikes. Also during the bike fair, Interbike is active in this sense. With each ticket sold Interbike donates $10 to World Bicycle Relief. Furthermore, special sculptures from artists such as Mark Castator or canvases from Nutcase Unframed artists were manufactured and will be put up for auction at the Award Gala Ceremony. These donations will also go towards World Bicycle Relief projects.

Without a doubt, a highlight of Interbike is the annual Industry Award Gala evening, which will be held on the 17th of September. At the Gala the most innovative and successful products of the bike-industry are honoured with the Interbike Award. Submissions in the following categories have been accepted: Product Innovation, Athletic Achievement, Best-In-Triathlon, Dealer Excellence, Supplier Performance, Advocacy Efforts and more.
