Just about everybody will know Brussels as the European capital. But it also serves as the capital for the compact but beautiful Kingdom of Belgium – a palace, royal museums and gardens amaze visitors. Always crowded is the “Grand Place”, the central market square. People usually walk from here to “Manneke Pis”, the congenial symbol of the city. Riding through the many one-way streets (contraflow cycling allowed) you reach the upper city either by bike or by elevator. Once you’ve reached, right near the palace of justice, you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views of Brussels, reaching all the way to the Atomium, an iron crystal magnified 165 billion times.
